vs. Parents
|
I have contacted the IceBox about getting some ice time for
a Player vs Parents game. If we have enough interest from
the parents we can have the ice on Thursday April 16 @ 7:45
PM. The cost for the ice time will be about $200.00. This
works out to be about $10.00 per person.
The invitation is extended to all family members interested.
No playing experience is needed. The coaches will also be
a part of the parents team.
Please get back to me ASAP if you will be interested in
playing. If you are interested in playing and need equipment,
make sure to let me know early enough so we can make arraignments.
Come on out and have a great time with the kids!

COACHING TIPS:
|
Attacking On The Line
Rush
3-man attack
|
The first player into
the offensive zone (should be the puck carrier) could
go wide with the puck. This is done to create space in the
middle of the ice by drawing the defense to them. If given
the time, a delay (a curl just inside the blueline a.k.a.
Gretzky) will work, allowing time for the support to move
into the zone.
The second player to enter the zone should
drive hard to the net looking for a pass, deflection or a
rebound.
The third player , in a support role, should
move to the slot creating a 2 on 1 down low with the second
player.
We must remember that this will not work on every
rush. As players we have to assess the situation (read)
and determine if this is the best attack option (react)
for this phase of the game.
